AI can talk about research. Acadex works with it.

Compare research profiles. Trace citations. See how a field has changed over time. Acadex works with bibliographic data on publications, researchers, and citations — and shows you what each answer is based on.

Traceable

What Acadex says can be traced back.

When you ask about publications, researchers, or citations, Acadex works with bibliographic records. When those records are used to generate an answer, comparison, or calculation, you can see which publications and data it was based on. You don't just get a result — you can inspect how it was produced.

So you don't have to take Acadex at its word. You can check for yourself.

How has the field of graph neural networks developed since 2017?

Graph Convolutional Networks by Kipf and Welling1 and GraphSAGE2 were followed by attention-based variants such as GAT3. How citations have spread since then, I show you year by year in the overview below.

Example answer. Each number leads to the publication the statement rests on.

Research is more than questions and answers.

No query language. Just ask.

You don't need to learn a search syntax or spend time figuring out a dashboard before you can start. Ask your question the way you would ask another person — in English or German. And when one question leads to the next, just keep going. The context stays with you, so even a follow-up as short as “And before 2015?” can be enough.

Not just what was published. How it connects.

Compare two researchers — or one researcher with an entire group. See where their work overlaps, where it takes different directions, and which publications connect them. Trace citations in both directions: which work does a publication cite, and who cited it later?

Acadex does the math.

How much do two researchers' publications overlap? Who cites whom? How has a research field changed over the past ten years? Acadex calculates answers like these from the available data instead of estimating them. Behind every number are the publications and records it was derived from — so you can inspect the result rather than simply trust it.

Stay up to date without constantly checking.

Add researchers and publications that matter to you to a watchlist. Acadex can track new publications and changes and organize the results in the way that is useful to you — for example by citations or recency. When something changes, Acadex can bring it to your attention, so you don't have to keep running the same searches yourself.

Acadex works directly with your documents.

Upload a PDF — a preprint, a paper you're reviewing, or a chapter of your dissertation — and ask questions directly about the document. That means working with the actual content, not just a summary of it.

Acadex keeps the context.

Explain something once, and the context stays with you. Over time, Acadex can build a picture of your work: what you're researching, what you've read, and which decisions you made along the way. You can review, correct, or delete this information at any time. You decide what Acadex should know about your work.

We measure whether Acadex is being used. Not what people are researching.

To understand whether the product works, we collect a small number of product and business metrics on our own infrastructure. That can include aggregated page views, registrations, activation, plan changes, and cancellations. We do not use conversation content, uploaded documents, saved memories, research topics, or bibliographic search queries for product analytics. We do not use external advertising or behavioral analytics platforms.

For universities & institutions

Research needs room. Processing needs control.

EU processing can be enforced.
For institutional accounts, permitted model providers and processing profiles can be restricted at the technical level. A user in a restricted account cannot switch to a provider that has not been approved.
Invoice instead of credit card.
Institutional access can be billed by invoice, with purchase order numbers, internal references and other procurement information where required. A credit card is not necessary.
Claims you can verify.
We do not cover institutional requirements with labels like “enterprise-grade security”. We document where our systems run, which services can receive data, and which controls we do not yet have.
