What has shipped
Newest first, described by what you can now do rather than by what we did. For what is coming rather than what has landed, see the roadmap.
September 2026
Processing stays in the EU, and the software enforces it
Trust20 September 2026
Every plan is now restricted to models running in the EU or on our own servers, in the routing layer rather than in a policy document. A model outside that set cannot be selected, even for a single conversation. Alongside it: a published sub-processor list, our technical and organisational measures, and a data processing agreement you can read without asking for it.
Light and dark, everywhere
Interface19 September 2026
The app and this website follow your device's theme, or whichever one you pick. The choice carries across both, so signing in no longer changes the lights.
Choose your language before you sign in
Languages15 September 2026
The language selector used to sit behind the sign-in screen, which is not much help if you need it to read the sign-in screen.
Watchlists tell you when something moves
Watchlists11 September 2026
New work by a researcher you follow, and changes to a paper you are watching, now reach you instead of waiting for you to go looking.
Questions about a researcher's field answer directly
Research8 September 2026
Asking what someone works on, or who they publish with, no longer takes the long way round through a general search.
August 2026
Compare a person against a whole group
Research21 August 2026
Not just researcher against researcher: one author against a group you have assembled, or two groups against each other. When a comparison has nothing to show for one side, it says so rather than drawing an empty line.
Answers come back in the language you asked in
Languages10 August 2026
Every supported language is now weighed when deciding which one you wrote in, rather than the question being English-or-otherwise. A French question stops being answered in German.
Ask what was true at a point in time
Memory5 August 2026
What did I think about this in March, and what has changed since? Memory can now be read as it stood, not only as it stands.
This record starts where it can be relied on. Acadex is not yet generally available, so what you are reading is a build log rather than a release history. We would rather begin honestly than reconstruct a year.
